I hopped in the back of my first Uber car almost two years ago. Before Uber, I’d done just about everything in my power to avoid taking a traditional taxi. Those avoidance techniques included walking, biking, staying at home and even hitching the occasional ride from my mom. Needless to say, I despised the taxi experience and clearly I wasn’t the only one who felt this way.
